Little Scouse on the Prairie

Fred Lawless
26 Nov 11 to 21 Jan 12
Royal Court Theatre

A crazy, fun-filled gag fest set in the Wild West. There’ll be Gunslingers, Sheriffs, Rustlers, Red Indians, Blue Indians (got to keep both sides of Stanley Park happy). There’ll be Cowboys, Cowgirls, Medicine Men, Preacher Men, Mister Men (well, maybe not) but one thing there will be in this madcap Western will be Scousers.

Paul Duckworth on Little Scouse

If things had been different then Paul Duckworth could have found himself fixing televisions for a living rather than appearing on them. “I was a part-qualified electronic service engineer when I was about 17,” recalls the former Brookie actor.
Liverpool Echo

Crude, rude, bawdy and lewd... but if you want a good belly laugh then this is the show to see... a fine show that includes beautifully choreographed routines, brilliant pop songs with irreverent yet pertinent lines... A well-written fun-filled night, with plenty of colour, music and gags...
What's On Stage (Rating: 4/5)
...Rachel Rae shows not only is she hugely talented but also has the voice of an angel... Andrew Schofield... was, as usual his highly hilarious self... one of the most original comic plays seen in recent times. A clever stage design by Mark Walters... team of unenthusiastic and lacklustre dancers...
The Public Reviews (Rating: 4/5)
...something of a disappointment. The fine cast keep the laughs rolling with some fine writing being skillfully delivered, and the set and choreography are simply stunning... most of the rapid-fire dialogue is only discernable during the second half... a show that would possibly have the lot if only it could be heard.
